Public Citizen of the Year Preston Love Jr.

National Association of Social Workers Nebraska Public Citizen of the Year

National Association of Social Workers Nebraska Public Citizen of the Year recipient is Preston Love Jr. Mr. Love has been involved in civil rights, voting rights,and community engagement activities for decades. He has been very active in the North Omaha community. Mr. Love has known and worked with many of the icons of the civil rights movement in the 20th century. In addition he has been an author, teacher, mentor, and organizer of educational trips though the southern United States to visit civil rights landmarks. Mr. Preston’s work
in the realm of social justice has made lasting impressions on many young citizens in our state. The Nebraska Chapter of NASW recognizes Mr. Preston for this important work that has enriched the lives of many Nebraskans.
